Rachel Slionski was raised in a grounded Christian home and had an encounter with God at a very young age. While visiting a church at the age of 8, Rachel received a baptism in the Holy Ghost and began to speak in tongues. From this encounter, she came to the realization of how true, real, and powerful God is. Later in her teens she volunteered at church babysitting children and was involved in many activities. She completed a Christian girls program throughout high school, was an assistant teacher for Vacation Bible Camp for many years, was an assistant teacher for toddler girl classes, and became a youth leader and leader of the youth music ministry. Aside from her involvement in church, she was extremely involved in music in high school and college. In her senior year of high school, she was President of the Freeport High School Select Chorale and went on tour to Birmingham, England. Following high school, she began a degree in Music Education at C.W. Post L.I.U. and was a member of the C.W. Post Chamber Singers, Long Island Sound Vocal Jazz, Jazz Combo, L.I.U. Chorus, as well as being a lead singer of the C.W. Post Jazz Ensemble. Finding a huge love for American Standard music, she began a professional career in enertainment at local restaurants. In the summer of 2010, Rachel went on tour again to Nice, France and was apart of the Jazz á Juan festival. In 2011, Rachel recieved clear insight from the Lord that her path to becoming a music educator would not be completed. She was unsure how and when God would transition her into full time ministry, but she knew that was her future. Rachel and Johnny met while Johnny was brought in to minister at her church. Both in a very focused and determined time in their lives, they connected and knew the sole purpose of their relationship would be to give glory to God. May 31st of 2011, Johnny proposed and August 19th of 2011, they joined as husband and wife. That same weekend was the grand opening of the Sound of Heaven and Ordination of their calls by their spiritual father Apostle Axel Sippach. Since then, they have four beautiful children, LJ, Zoë, Massimo, and Lucy. Rachel is more excited this year then any year thus far because of what she knows God is going to accomplish through those who are willing and ready to move as they are called!
